An album finished / Challenge fun

I have finished my Spring/Summer 2006 Album! YAY! {More posts to come}

Are my albums chronological? Yes. By year. I'm totally cool with that. If something is abstract (for example: then vs. now, why I love my mom, how our place is decorated), then that page is categorized by the most recent pictures on the page, or if there is extensive journalling that represents more recent thoughts or emotions, then the page gets categorized based on the date the journalling was written. I do this since each page represents a snapshot in time: either literally or as a snapshot of my thoughts. For me, this is the easiest, most consistent method of organization.

And back to the point of this post: this page is of an event in Spring/Summer 2006. The colors go nicely with those from the Play Date Cafe's challenge [link left, image below]. Very wintery like bare tree limbs and antiqued neutrals. I went very simple with a clean grid in a window.

Solid papers are all Bazzill Basics paper
Patterned paper is Persian Floral by ChatterboxInc.
Letters are by Recollections
Fabric brad is by Crate Paper
Window box was made with the Silhouette Cameo, but you can just cut out a box too.

  2. Of course you would be insanely well organized even in scrapbooking! How far back do your scrapbooks go?
    This page is really pretty. I love the soothing colors, many of which are right outside my window as the leftover ice/snow has given everything the same blue-ish white glow. Hope you're enjoying your weekend!
